Hill Station BISTRO, Techno Hub, John Hay, Baguio City

Last December 19, 2013, Hill Station BISTRO opened at Techno Hub, John Hay, Baguio City. The restaurant was spacious and had a good open air balcony. For dinner we had Lemon Chicken BBQ which was served on a bowl with red rice. It was ok. The Chili Dog sandwich was great. The mixture of beans and meat with spices tasted good and the chicken sausage was tender. My son had a special order of pancakes which the crew readily cooked. He also ordered one slice of deep dark choco cake which was very … [Read more...]

Sun Cellular – A touch of One Nation, One Community, One Connection

I have been a Sun Cellular user since 2009. So far I am enjoying their broadband and mobile plan services. Yesterday, I got the chance to talk to Ms. Carissa Flores one of the digital marketing officers of Sun Cellular at the Hill Station, a fine dining restaurant on top of Session Road, Baguio City. It was a night of food and fun. After years of being a sun subscriber, at least I had a good and expensive meal in return :-) I am writing this article according to my years of experience in … [Read more...]

Sapatos Festival, bringing shoes to the streets…

I have witnessed some of the best marketing plans and this is one of those I appreciate. The Sapatos festival is a project of Marikina City wherein the city government sponsors a shoe caravan all over Metro Manila and calls is "sapatos" festival. The festival aims to promote and sell the Marikina made shoes and position the city as "still" the number one shoe making city in the Philippines. The shoe makers and factory owners themselves are the ones selling or assisting the buyer. There are … [Read more...]

Res Toe Run – Appetite for shoes

Someone told me about a establishment that serves sandals as appetizer and shoes for dinner. I ask him if it was delicious and he simply said "try it yourself"! So I had to go see this establishment called "Res Toe Run" located at Technohub inside Camp John Hay, Baguio City. At first I was looking for a restaurant but to my surprise it was a shoe store with a new concept or presentation. It is like a restaurant but instead of food being served, shoes, slippers and sandals are on the … [Read more...]

A review of the Jollibee Crispy Chicken Wings

Last week I was invited to do a review of the latest product of Jollibee, the crispy chicken wings. To start with, still the best seller of this Giant food chain is chicken joy which is mostly ordered during lunch and dinner. To compensate the lesser sales during off peak hours, they (the company) came up with an alternative chicken delight as a snack and called it crispy chicken wings. Same delicious taste as the chicken joy but with lighter stomach fill. This product was introduced … [Read more...]

Beggang Resto Grill, The “kare-kare” Station in Baguio City

I am known to be a food fanatic. If I hear stories about a place where  we could eat a good meal, I always try my best to visit and see for myself what is being offered. I have been to Beggang Resto Grill many times and in every visit, my order always comes with the house specialty which is the "Kare-kare". Aside from kare-kare, the grilled chicken meat is also a house favorite together with the pinoy delicacy "dinuguan". The "kare-kare" is mighty delicious and highly commendable. One … [Read more...]

Jim’s Retro Dinner, Big Size Servings in Baguio City

We were invited to do a conceptualized photo shoot last October 12, 2012 to feature an old idea with a new twist of bigger and bolder food serving.  The dinner was designed to show a different time much like the early 1940's to mid 1970's'.  But the thing that makes this Dinner a unique place to visit is their "upsized" servings like the 10 inch burger and the super sized club house! They also serve great tasting pizzas! Jim's Retro Dinner is located at La Azotea building, Session road, … [Read more...]
