A old friend invited me to try the "cake all you can" meryenda of Veniz Cafe. He told me it was a good challenge for someone like me who employs the appetite of a bear :-). It was indeed a challenge. One Nature, One Community 2 “let a thousand tree seedlings bloom” A SUCCESS!

The activity was a success! Almost 200 nature lovers went to the Puguis Longlong Communal park and planted some 500 pine tree and 100 caliandra seedlings. The 500 seedlings that were earlier planted last July 28 was also inspected and tree guards were provided around them. The activity was earlier scheduled on July 28, 2012 but due to the bad weather, we had to postpone and move the date to September 02, 2012. It was a good decision. Last June 24, 2012, I had the chance to join the second One Baguio, One Photography event held at the old Diplomat building, Dominican Hill. The event was organized by Topper Capuyan and company. There were 180 registered photographers from Baguio City, La Trinidad and neighboring provinces. Around 60 models with different attires and costumes also participated in the open shoot. A few days ago we went to check out this pizza house along Leonard Wood Rd., Baguio City.  The establishment was around since 2005 but it was the first time I came to know of the place. It was 8:00 in a rainy evening and we were all looking forward for a nice meal. Zios Pizzeria is conveniently located along the highway so it's not hard to miss. The recently concluded Tam-awan International Festival also featured some local wine makers and distributors. The wines were made out of fruits and sugarcane. They offered "free taste" of their products throughout the festival period. Tam-awan hosted a 2 day Cordillera song and dance workshop which was attended 50 participants from all over the Cordillera region. The first hour of the workshop was already fun and exciting when Mr. Benny Sokkong and group showcased the different Cordillera bamboo musical instruments. The different Cordillera dance workshop was both entertaining and educational thanks to Ms. Annie Bungauen and group.
