2012 Chronicle Of Watwatworld, A Journey To Self Fulfillment

IMG_0047 copy

I have seen many bloggers boast of their travels, hotel destinations or the restaurants they have eaten on as their top activities for 2012. Don't get me wrong, they deserve to boast because they worked hard for many years to reach that certain blogger status. I also had my share of sponsored travels, hotel and restaurant reviews as well as adventures. It is fun and rewarding. But I did not start watwatworld for the perks I receive in blogging, it is only incidental. Watwatworld is sharing what … [Read more...]

THANK YOU! SPONSOR A BAHAG AND TAPIS PROJECT, A SUCCESS!

La Trinidad Central School

It all started with a dream that someday, somehow, the cultural students of La Trinidad Central School will have a complete set of Bahag and Tapis for them to use during their performances. For how many months we taught the pupils some basic Cordillera dances of Benguet, Ifugao and Mountain Province and when it was time for them to perform, we, the advisers and the parents of the pupils went around to borrow tapis and bahag. Some were borrowed from the barangay hall, some from capitol and some … [Read more...]

Art Installations @ Baguio Artists Forest Park

There is a new artist haven in Baguio City and it opened itself to the world through series of tree planting activities. In 1997, The family of Hantos (popularly pronounced as Santos), a native of Ifugao, started to plant mahogany trees. They got their seedlings from Baguio City and nearby lowland areas then transported them to Ifugao for planting. In 2000, Mrs. Lulu Gene De Guia noticed the efforts of the family and the community. She gave P5,000 initial fund which was used to … [Read more...]

My _ _ _ Nth cake all you can plate...

A old friend invited me to try the "cake all you can" meryenda of Veniz Cafe. He told me it was a good challenge for someone like me who employs the appetite of a bear :-). It was indeed a challenge. Veniz Cafe has three packages for big eaters. The Mongolian Buffet, Pasta all you can and the Cake all you can treat. We decided to try the latter. Under the unlimited cake offer, there are three choices in a day to choose from and an additional mixed fruit Gelo on the side. The cake recipes … [Read more...]

Zios Pizzeria… A taste of classic pizza

zios pizzeria baguio city

A few days ago we went to check out this pizza house along Leonard Wood Rd., Baguio City.  The establishment was around since 2005 but it was the first time I came to know of the place. It was 8:00 in a rainy evening and we were all looking forward for a nice meal. Zios Pizzeria is conveniently located along the highway so it's not hard to miss. It has a good parking space and the establishment is well lighted. The first thing I always check is the toilet. Sometimes you can say a lot about a … [Read more...]
