Our JULY 28, 2012 event was a success! More than 300 people participated in the One Nature, One Community Tree Planting Activity and 100 more from other organizations. Our 500 tree seedlings were all carefully planted and thank you to the Almighty for not letting it rain this morning. It was a perfect weather!

UPDATE: One nature, One Community 2, “Let a thousand seedlings bloom”, August 26, 2012. We are trying to scout areas that are “safe” for travel and planting for those who would like to participate. We will consider everything especially that the rains are continuous. We have some areas in mind but is too far from the center and we know many will not come. But we will see. Anyway, I think our adopted forest (longlong) is still a good venue for the tree planting because aside from the trees to be planted, we will also have a tree weeding and tree parenting activity. Those who went to the first One Nature ,One Community activity saw how tall the grasses were.

We made out a call for support and I am happy to say that many of those who donated are people I knew during my college days. They have witnessed and participated in some of our school based projects and activities since the 90’s.
